Manu Jans Personal Trainer

Personal training began at a very young age for me. I was the fat kid in school and picked on. I was the last to be picked in gym class and I was the heavy defender in rugby. At the age of 11 I was already struggling with all these experiences and so I decided to do something about this.

I started running 3 times a week, in addition to my rugby training and matches. After some time I noticed I was becoming better, but this was just a small change. It made me think, what if I could add more small changes? I started running more and longer distances, I also started eating better and slowly but surely all these changes started adding up until I was training 6 times a week by the age of 15.

This lifestyle got me so addicted, that I wanted to make this my profession and help others achieve the same. I changed majors in my studies, and started learning about different training methods and nutrition, sports massages, kinesiotaping and injury prevention/follow-up. Also keeping up with new developments in the fitness industry I got introduced to CrossFit some years ago, and I decided to become a level 1 trainer as well.

Side effects of this lifestyle were, I felt physically very strong and very motivated to achieve my goals. This gave me the power and confidence to believe in myself and to go for my dreams, I signed up at my local fire department as a volunteer, but in order to be accepted, there is a hard physical exam. With my mindset of wanting to help others and motivation to overcome hard challenges, I passed my physical with flying colors. I am now called upon regularly to help in physically demanding interventions.

So being a personal trainer started for me from childhood, where first I was my own personal trainer, and now I strive to help others achieve their personal goals and build up their confidence.

So reach out and let’s explore what we can do together.
